Gangaputra Bahuguna

The Bahugunas often conveyed their message to restore the Himalayan landscape with the fruit bearing trees replacing the pine monoculture as the missing bit of the Chipko movement. As such the new generation needs to revisit his satyagraha on the ground with a purpose to grow the better kind of plants and trees in the suffering Himalayas, the challenge equally tough in its eastern and western parts.
